A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET AND MASTERPLAN OF THE BAYFRONT PARK MANAGEMENT TRUST, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF TWENTY-FOUR MILLION, FIVE HUNDRED FIVE THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT AND 00/100 DOLLARS ($24,505,948.00), ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED AS EXHIBIT "A," TO PROVIDE FOR THE MANAGEMENT, OPERATIONS, MAINTENANCE, AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS OF THE MILDRED AND CLAUDE PEPPER BAYFRONT PARK AND MAURICE A. FERRE PARK FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2026, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2027.

WHEREAS, the Bayfront Park Management Trust ("Trust") is a limited agency and instrumentalityoftheCity ofMiami ("City") created pursuant toOrdinance No. 10348 adopted November 19, 1987, as subsequently amended from time to time; and
WHEREAS, theTrust is responsible for directing, operating, managing, and maintaining allaspects ofMildred andClaude Pepper Bayfront Park andMaurice A.Ferre Park (collectively, "Parks"); and
WHEREAS, Section 38-109 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, provides that the Trust shall submit its annual budget and masterplan for the management, operation, maintenance,andcapital expendituresoftheParks totheCityCommission for approval; and
WHEREAS,the governing body of the Trust reviewed and approved the Trust's annual budget and masterplanfor Fiscal Year2026-2027inthe total amountof Twenty-Four Million, Five Hundred Five Thousand, Nine Hundred Forty-Eight and 00/100 Dollars ($24,505,948.00), on September 14, 2026 pursuant toTrust Resolution No. 26-34, forthemanagement, operation, maintenance, and capital expenditures for the Parks; and
WHEREAS, the Trust requests the approval by the City Commission of the Budgetand Masterplan, attached andincorporated asExhibit "A," forFiscal Year 2026-2027 inthetotal amount of Twenty-Four Million, Five Hundred Five Thousand, Nine Hundred Forty-Eight and 00/100 Dollars ($24,505,948.00);
NOW, THEREFORE,BE ITRESOLVED BY THECOMMISSION OFTHE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1.Therecitals and findings contained inthePreamble to thisResolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth inthis Section.
Section 2.The Trust's Budget and Masterplan for the management, operation,maintenance, and capitalimprovementsoftheParks inthe totalamount ofTwenty-Four Million, Five Hundred Five Thousand, Nine Hundred Forty-Eight and 00/100 Dollars ($24,505,948.00), attached and incorporated asExhibit "A,"for theFiscal Year commencing October 1, 2026, and ending September30, 2027, is approved and adopted.
Section 3.ThisResolution shall become effective immediately uponitsadoption and signature of the Mayor.
