A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI AND MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FOR THE PROVISION OF POLICE ROVING PATROL FOR THE NATOMA MANORS ROVING PATROL SECURITY GUARD SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT ("TAXING DISTRICT"); ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND AND 00/100 DOLLARS ($135,000.00), TO THE SPECIAL REVENUE FUND TITLED, “NATOMA MANORS ROVING SECURITY SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT” FOR THE PROVISION OF POLICE SERVICES WITHIN THE TAXING DISTRICT; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE, ALL IN FORMS ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, ANY AND ALL SUPPLEMENTS AND AMENDMENTS TO THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT AS MAY BE NECESSARY.

WHEREAS, the County Commission authorized the County Manager to execute a revised Taxing District Interlocal Agreement with the City of Miami (“City”), for the continued provision of police roving patrol services for said Taxing District; and
WHEREAS, Section 163.01, Florida Statutes, and the County Charter permit the County and the City (collectively, “Parties”) to enter into interlocal agreements; and
WHEREAS, the Parties desire to enter into the Interlocal Agreement, attached and incorporated herein, to provide for roving police services in the Taxing District consisting of services management, supervision, manpower, equipment, vehicles, and supplies as required;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an Interlocal Agreement, in substantially the attached form, with the Countyfor the continued provision of police roving patrol services within the Taxing District.
Section 3. The following Special Revenue Project is established and resources are accepted and appropriated as described below:

Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.
