A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO CREATE AND IMPLEMENT AN EXPEDITED ELEVATOR INSPECTION PROTOCOL THAT PRIORITIZES CITY ELEVATOR INSPECTIONS BASED ON SPECIFIC RISK AND VULNERABILITY FACTORS, INCLUDING BUILDINGS WITH ONLY ONE ELEVATOR AND BUILDINGS HOUSING VULNERABLE POPULATIONS SUCH AS SENIORS OR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES, WHOSE ACCESS TO UPPER FLOORS WOULD BE IMPACTED BY AN ELEVATOR OUTAGE; AND FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO REPORT BACK TO THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION VIA LETTER TO COMMISSION (“LTC”) WITHIN 30 DAYS WITH THE PROPOSED PROTOCOL AND ANY OPERATIONAL OR BUDGETARY IMPLICATIONS.
